**$SLS** is needed for all sorts of things in the Underworld, increasing the level of the [Pets](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/ecosystem/pets) and [EvoSkulls](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/croskull), purchase [mystery boxes](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/ecosystem/merchant#29c7) from the [merchant](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/ecosystem/merchant) and more coming in the future (Enchanting Gems, access to some special quests and future **gamification features**).
## How do I earn [$SLS](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/erc20-tokens/souls-usdsls)?
You can earn [$SLS](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/erc20-tokens/souls-usdsls) by sending your level 1 or above Pets/EvoSkulls on [missions](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/ecosystem/missions). Pets also earn 1 [$SLS](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/erc20-tokens/souls-usdsls) daily per pet. (Accumulates for up to 7 days). In addition to that, each [CroSkull ](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/croskull/what-are-croskulls)will earn 1 [$SLS ](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/erc20-tokens/souls-usdsls)passively while on their [Adventures](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/ecosystem/season/adventure) every 30 days of not claiming. \

Here's how:
* Visit
* Connect your wallet (e.g. Metamask or Defi Wallet)
* Click 'Missions' and select the missions appropriate to your Pet.
* Unlock the "Free slots" if you haven't done it yet. (There are 3 free slots, for additional slots, you can purchase them with [$GRVE.](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/erc20-tokens/grave-usdgrve)
* Select an empty "slot".
* Select the pet/EvoSkull you wish to send on [missions](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/ecosystem/missions).
* Choose how many consecutive [missions](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/ecosystem/missions) you want to send your [pet](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/ecosystem/pets) on. (Max 10, with each mission requiring 1 stamina).
* Click "Send on [mission](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/ecosystem/missions)".
* Once your pet is 100% done with the [mission](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/ecosystem/missions), click on it and click "return".
* You can either leave your [$SLS](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/erc20-tokens/souls-usdsls) to accumulate or claim your mission rewards from the [mission](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/ecosystem/missions) section of our [Dapp](https://app.croskull.com/#/).

The amount of [$SLS](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/erc20-tokens/souls-usdsls) your [pet](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/ecosystem/pets) earns depends on your pets level, and how many consecutive missions you send it on. Each CroSkull earns on their Adventure 1 [$SLS](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/erc20-tokens/souls-usdsls) for every 30 days spent adventuring (Claiming [$GRVE](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/erc20-tokens/grave-usdgrve) resets this 30-day counter). To get [$SLS ](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/erc20-tokens/souls-usdsls)you need to have your [CroSkulls](https://croskulls-organization.gitbook.io/croskull/croskull/what-are-croskulls) staked when the 30-day mark has passed. (When Malus reaches 5%).
